Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Nurse Administrator - RN for the Float Pool to lead night-shift patient care across multiple units in NYC. The ideal candidate holds a Master\'s in Nursing, NY RN license, ACLS/BCLS/PALS, and at least three years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license with ACLS, BCLS and PALS certification through AHA.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care delivery across all hospital units during night shifts, and weekends/holidays when needed.
• Serve as clinical resource and administrator in absence of unit/hospital leaders.
• Collaborate with leadership to address care-related, patient experience, quality, engagement and operational efficiency issues.

As Nurse Administrator, you will manage patient care delivery across all hospital units (adult medical/surgical, critical care, oncology, cardiac, women’s, pediatrics and emergency services) during night shifts as well as weekends, holidays and evenings shifts serving as a clinical resource and administrator in the absence of and in partnership with unit/hospital leaders or when care-related, patient experience, quality, engagement and operational efficiency issues arise. Preferred Criteria

• Demonstrated leadership skills as a charge nurse
• Previous leadership position/experience
• Active membership in professional organization
• Certification in Nursing (clinical or administrative , strongly preferred)
