Job summary

UHS is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide safe, patient-centered care under the direction of the registered nurse or physician. You will be an active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit and support the organization's culture of Service Excellence for all customers.

Preferred candidates have acute care experience and hold a CNA or MA certificate, with current BLS. Education options include enrollment in LVN/ADN/BSN programs and adherence to age requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
• Must possess one of the following: CNA certificate and/or a certificate of completion of a CNA program; Medical Assistant certificate; Current enrollment in an LVN, ADN or BSN accredited nursing program with first semester completed; BLS on hire and current thereafter; Must be >18 years old by date of hire.

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides safe, competent patient-centered care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The certified nursing assistant provides care under the direction of the registered nurse or physician. Participates as an active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit/department. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prefer experience in an acute care setting.

EDUCATION / LICENSURE:

High School diploma or GED preferred.

Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Must possess one of the following:

• CNA certificate and/or a certificate of completion of a CNA program
• Medical Assistant certificate and/or a certificate of a MA program
• Current enrollment in an LVN, ADN or BSN accredited school of nursing with successful Completion of first semester at a minimum
• BLS upon hire and remain current thereafter
• Must be > 18 years of age by the date of hire
