Job summary

Hillsdale Hospital in Hillsdale, MI is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for evening to overnight shifts. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient conditions, and document care under the supervision of an RN.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, and a Michigan CNA certification or be able to obtain one within four months. The role includes paid time off, a 403(b) retirement plan with match, and opportunities for education assistance and continuing

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; CNA considered or enrolled in Early Middle College
• Current Michigan CNA certification or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire
• BLS, ACLS, TEAM certifications preferred and available through Hillsdale Hospital

Responsibilities

• Must understand patient's condition and plan of care under RN supervision
• Assist patients with activities of daily living as needed
• Maintain accurate chart records (I&Os, evenings, weekends, showers)
• Input admissions/discharge/transfer data and answer phones appropriately

Description

Work Schedule and Shift Premiums

• 7pm-7am | 3 days/week, including every other weekend
• 2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour; 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hour; weekend premium is an additional $2.00/hour
• Paid Time Off: vacation and holidays

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; will consider a H.S. senior who has their CNA, or a 5th year senior enrolled in the Early Middle College
• Must be 18 years of age; will consider a 17 year-old who has their CNA
• Current Michigan Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA), otherwise must obtain one within 4 months of hire, may be eligible to have this paid for by the hospital
• BLS, ACLS, TEAM certifications (available through Hillsdale Hospital)

Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge of patient’s condition and plan of care and assist under direction of an RN
• May assist patients with activities of daily living
• Maintain accurate records within the chart - graphics, I&Os, evening and weekend activity, showers, etc.
• Perform clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, transfers, etc. Input computer data appropriately. Answer the telephone in a friendly manner, take messages, and direct calls
