Job summary

Hillsdale Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Night shifts in the Emergency Department. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with every-other-weekend coverage from 7pm to 7am.

Compensation includes a 2nd shift premium of $2.00/hr and a 3rd shift premium of $3.05/hr, with relocation assistance and $5,250 paid toward student loans. Relocation benefits apply if you live more than 75 miles away; tuition and continuing education are supported. Michigan RN license is required.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN in nursing
• Valid Michigan RN license
• Two years nursing experience preferred, but not necessarily required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required, plus TEAM certification within one year (through Hillsdale Hospital)

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patients based on level of injury or illness
• Immediately stabilize incoming patients
• Administer medication as instructed by physicians
• Start intravenous lines
• Create and maintain incoming patient records
• Work with team of emergency staff to help patients
• Help transfer stable patients to other wings
• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to patient’s health and situation
• Analyze assessment data and create individualized plan of care
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care to ensure optimal patient care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to nursing practice

Work Schedule and Shift Premiums

• Full Time | 36 hours/week including every other weekend |Nights 7pm to 7am
• Hourly pay rate is determined by years of experience as an RN
• 2nd shift premium is $2.00/hr (3pm-11pm)
• 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hr (11pm to 7am)
