Hillsdale Hospital in Hillsdale, MI is seeking a dedicated cleaning/housekeeping professional to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. The role requires standing for long periods, physical activity, and the ability to work 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) with weekend and holiday rotation.

• Use equipment properly and report repairs or restocking.
• Multitask and follow schedule while responding to incidents.

Work Schedule and Shift Premiums

• 2nd shift is 3:00pm - 11:30pm
• Must be able to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Employees who work on a recognized holiday are paid time and a half for hours worked on the holiday
• 2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour
• Weekend premium is an additional $2.00/hour
• Paid Time Off: vacation and holidays

Requirements

• Must have or be actively pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to be on your feet all shift, walking, pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, carrying
• Excellent customer service, positive attitude and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to prioritize along with excellent organizational skills
• Must pass background check and drug test including test for marijuana

Responsibilities

• In all areas of the hospital, perform a variety of cleaning and disinfecting services including emptying trash cans, cleaning patient rooms, restrooms, floors, common areas, and changing bed linens
• Exhibit a professional demeanor and ensure the privacy and confidentiality of protected health information at all times
• Move furniture and other heavy objects for routine & non-routine cleaning and when assisting in patient moves
• Use equipment and supplies properly and report needed repairs or restocking to the appropriate individual
• Multitask and stick to a schedule while also responding to incidents as they occur throughout the day
