Job summary

Hillsdale Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care on the 7pm–7am shift (3 days/week, including every other weekend). Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, a Michigan CNA certification, and BLS/ACLS/TEAM credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; may consider a high school senior who has their CNA, or a 5th year senior enrolled in the Early Middle College
• Must be 18 years of age; may consider a 17 year-old who has their CNA
• Current Michigan Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA), otherwise must obtain one within 4 months of hire, may be eligible to have this paid for by the hospital
• BLS, ACLS, TEAM certifications available through Hillsdale Hospital

Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge of patient’s condition and plan of care and assist under direction of an RN
• May assist patients with activities of daily living
• Maintain accurate records within the chart - graphics, I&Os, evening and weekend activity, showers, etc.
• Perform clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, transfers, input computer data appropriately, answer the telephone in a friendly manner, take messages, and direct calls
