Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time CNA for the 7 North West unit at Royal Oak Hospital. The role involves providing patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, transporting patients, and performing clerical duties to support unit operations.

The unit specializes in bariatric and general surgeries, with a focus on patient-centered care. BLS is required, and CNA certification is preferred. Sign-on bonus up to $1500 is offered.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services.
• Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize safety.
• Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
• Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.
