Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Akron in Akron, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant for full-time night shift (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.). Compensation ranges from $17.50 to $21.76 per hour.

The role supports post-ICU recovery, with comprehensive orientation and growth opportunities including RN scholarships and tuition reimbursement. Responsibilities include patient bathing, rounds, positioning and transport assistance, plus maintaining clean equipment and rooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
