Good Samaritan University Hospital, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for full-time Night shift (7:00pm–7:30am) on Long Island. Orientation starts with classroom learning (8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.) during the first week, then transitions to 12-hour night shifts.

Job Details

Qualifications:

• Completion of Nursing Assistant program, BOCES or Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent with current New York State CNA certification or completion or a minimum of 1 years' experience working as a Nursing Assistant.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
• Knowledge of computer systems and/or prior clerical experience required.
• BLS or CPR/AED certification must be obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA) – BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED). Certifications from other organizations, online-only programs, and RQI programs are not accepted.

Availability Requirements:

During the initial orientation period, candidates must be available to participate full-time. The first week will consist of classroom-based learning Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In the second week, orientees will transition to 12-hour shifts to complete orientation and training on the night shift.

Salary Range

USD $26.52 - USD $33.45 /Hr.
