Job summary

Catholic Health's Good Samaritan University Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support safe patient care on the unit. You will assist with daily care and work within established policies and age-specific guidelines.

Requirements include a Nursing Assistant program or NYS CNA certification (or RN program coursework) plus High School diploma and CPR/BLS training from approved providers. This on-site position offers a competitive benefits package.

A Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting in the safe treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures and age of patients served on the unit.

Requirements

• Completion of Nursing Assistant program, BOCES or Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent with current New York State CNA certification or completion of a Nursing fundamentals course or equivalent within a RN program or a minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Nursing Assistant.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
• Knowledge of computer systems and/or prior clerical experience required.
• BLS or CPR/AED training required and accepted from only 2 organizations: American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program American Red Cross - CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. No online programs from any organization will be accepted.

Salary Range

USD $26.52 - USD $33.45 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
