Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital, part of Catholic Health, seeks a Nursing Assistant to support safe patient care on the unit in accordance with policies and patient age groups. The role includes basic clerical tasks and adherence to infection control practices.

Ideal candidates will have NYS CNA certification, completed nursing assistant training, and BLS/CPR certification. This on-site position emphasizes teamwork and patient-centered care with opportunities for tuition assistance and career

• Completion of Nursing Assistant program, BOCES or Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent with current New York State CNA certification.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
• Knowledge of computer systems and/or prior clerical experience required.
• BLS or CPR/AED training required and accepted from only American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers.

Requirements

• Completion of Nursing Assistant program, BOCES or Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent with current New York State CNA certification or completion of a Nursing fundamentals course or equivalent within a RN program or a minimum of 1 years' experience working as a Nursing Assistant.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
• Knowledge of computer systems and/or prior clerical experience required.
• BLS or CPR/AED training required and accepted from onlyAmerican Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers.No online programs from any organization will be accepted.

Salary Range

USD $30.01 - USD $30.01 /Hr.
