Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital in Long Island is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist in safe patient care in accordance with policies and standard procedures. You will support routine treatments and help patients of various ages on the unit.

Requires NYS CNA certification or RN program nursing fundamentals, High School diploma, BLS/CPR training, safety and infection control knowledge, and basic computer/clerical skills. This position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nursing Assistant program, BOCES or Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent with current New York State CNA certification or completion of a Nursing fundamentals course or equivalent within a RN program or a minimum of 1 years' experience working as a Nursing Assistant.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
• Knowledge of computer systems and/or prior clerical experience required.
• BLS or CPR/AED training required and accepted from only American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers. No online programs from any organization will be accepted.
