Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support safe patient care and treatment in accordance with unit policies and patient age. The role requires NY CNA certification or RN program progression, plus basic safety, infection control, and clerical competencies.

Candidates should have a Nursing Assistant program completion, a High School diploma or equivalent, and BLS/CPR training from the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nursing Assistant program, BOCES or Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent with current New York State CNA certification or completion of a Nursing fundamentals course or equivalent within a RN program or a minimum of 1 years' experience working as a Nursing Assistant.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
• Knowledge of computer systems and/or prior clerical experience required.
• BLS or CPR/AED training required and accepted from onlyAmerican Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers.No online programs from any organization will be accepted.

Salary Range

USD $26.52 - USD $33.45 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
