Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Nursing Assistant for M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. The role is 56 hours every two weeks on the night shift, with eight-hour shifts and alternating weekends, offering medical, dental, and other benefits.

The unit focuses on post-op general surgery with telemetry. The Nursing Assistant supports basic patient care, room setup, and supplies, working under the direction of a registered nurse to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• OnTrack Nursing Assistant training (or similar Fairview program) preferred.
• Minimum six months direct care experience in healthcare settings.
• Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the professional nurse in patient care and comfort measures.
• Transport patients and equipment as needed.
• Prepare and stock patient rooms and supplies.
• Accurately document care and observations.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Support with basic patient hygiene and daily activities.
