Select Medical's Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, IA is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant (NA) to join our post-ICU care team on a PRN / Per Diem Day Shift. Compensation is $20.00 per hour with differential for nights and weekends.

Responsibilities include patient bathing, hourly rounds, mobility assistance, and keeping rooms clean and comfortable. Prior NA experience and BLS within 90 days are preferred; strong teamwork and empathy are essential.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or NA certification, or related field (e.g., medical assistant, RN student).

Aufgaben

• Bathing patients using basin-less methods and assisting with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
