Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Memphis East is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) in Memphis, TN, for PRN/Per Diem 12-hour shifts. The role offers $19.00 per hour and opportunities to advance, with extensive orientation to support a smooth transition into the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing and hygiene care using basin-less products.
• Take hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist wheelchair transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, chairs and equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; manage unit stock levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
