Select Specialty Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team in Wilmington, DE, inside ChristianaCare Wilmington. This full-time night-shift NA role offers $19.70-$24.00 per hour, with nightly/weekend differentials and a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

The position involves direct patient care, including bathing, oral hygiene, mobility assistance, rounds, and patient transport, along with maintaining cleanliness of rooms and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care such as bathing, oral hygiene, and hair care.
• Conduct hourly rounds and assist transporters with patient movement.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment and keep rooms orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies as directed.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
