Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Cincinnati Downtown in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to deliver compassionate patient care during 12-hour day shifts at the Christ Hospital location. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and BLS within 90 days, with hospital CNA experience or related background encouraged.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients and assist with transfers to stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and stocked as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair


• Participate in hourly rounds


• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs


• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs


• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition


• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed


• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)


• BLS is required within 90 days of hire


• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
