Job summary

Regency Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for a full-time Day Shift (6:00 am–6:30 pm) in Sylvania, OH, with possible shifts at our Oregon location. The role includes direct patient care, hourly rounds, and safe patient transport as part of a dedicated post-ICU care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, and feeding
• Attend hourly rounds with the care team
• Assist with transporting patients to treatment centers and moving them in and out of stretchers/wheelchairs
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other equipment
• Keep patient rooms clean and stocked; perform other duties as assigned

Compensation: $18.05 - $22 per hour (based on years of experience)

• This position requires the ability to pick up shifts at both our Sylvania and Oregon locations, as needed.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
