Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Ann Arbor is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for the full-time night shift at our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The position offers a night schedule and compensation between $18.95 and $25.50 per hour, plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Certified Nursing Assistant preferred. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, assisting with daily care, feeding, mobility, responding to call lights, and transporting patients between treatment areas.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion within 90 days of employment.
• Nursing Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
