Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Ann Arbor is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join a dedicated inpatient rehab team. You will assist with patient care, monitor vital signs, help with meals, and support mobility in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

The position is full-time on nights with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a strong orientation program to ensure a smooth integration into the team. Benefits support employee well-being and career growth.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience and CNA certification preferred (state requirements may apply).

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals, feeding patients who cannot feed themselves, and documenting intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely and aiding mobility.
• Answering call lights and performing services contributing to patient well-being.
• Transporting patients to designated areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
