Select Specialty Hospital - Flint is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for 7pm–7am shifts in Flint, MI. The role offers a sign-on bonus of $2,500 and compensation up to $23.19/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent work experience.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients and basic care with basin-less bath products.
• Perform hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with moving them in wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, and other patient care equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; restock supplies as directed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair


• Participate in hourly rounds


• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs


• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs


• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition


• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed


• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
