Job summary

Regency Hospital Cleveland-East in Warrensville Heights, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time daytime and night shifts. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered to new hires, with comprehensive orientation and growth opportunities across the Select Medical network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 3+ years related work experience (in healthcare preferred).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing using basin-less methods, oral hygiene, feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Assist with patient transport and transfer to treatment areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; monitor supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
