Select Medical's Canton unit is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) in Canton, OH for full-time day shifts (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.). The role includes direct patient care such as bathing, feeding support, rounds, and mobility assistance, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital NA experience or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing, oral care, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients and assist with mobility.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies.

Position: Nursing Assistant (NA)

Location: Canton, OH

Schedule: Full-Time Days - 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.Compensation: $17.50 to $21.76 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair


• Participate in hourly rounds


• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs


• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs


• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition


• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed


• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
