Select Medical's Regency Hospital - Cleveland West in Middleburg Heights, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time days and nights, 3 days per week. The role supports post-ICU patients, with extensive orientation and opportunities for RN scholarships and education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification/training required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or NA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks including bathing with basin-less products, oral care and feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to/from treatment areas and assist with movement to stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
