Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Nashville West in Nashville, TN is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant (NA) to support patient care across shifts. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients, and collaborate with the care team to ensure a safe, comfortable environment.

The role offers full-time days and nights, a $3,000 sign-on bonus, and opportunities for growth, including RN scholarship support and a clinical ladder, within a nationwide network of care providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• NA or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less methods; assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers; assist with moving patients and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs, and instruments.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
