Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Augusta is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in Augusta, GA. This full-time day position (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) offers a competitive hourly range and a supportive environment focused on world-class inpatient post-ICU care.

You will perform essential patient care activities, support daily living tasks, and participate in rounds. A high school diploma or GED, BLS within 90 days, and CNA experience are required or related field experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years in healthcare.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less methods and assisting with oral hygiene.
• Assist with feeding and hair care as part of daily care.
• Conduct hourly rounds and monitor patient comfort and safety.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with moving patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, bedpans, urinals, and patient rooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
