Job summary

Select Medical's Select Specialty Hospital in Atlantic City, NJ is hiring a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our inpatient post-ICU care team. This full-time day shift covers three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, with rotating weekends and a competitive hourly wage of $18.87 to $23.00 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years of relevant healthcare experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital CNA experience or related field experience eligible for certification.

Responsibilities

• Bath patients using basin-less products, perform oral hygiene, assist with feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair

• Participate in hourly rounds

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs

• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed

• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
