Job summary

Essentia Health in Brainerd and Baxter, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. The role includes personal hygiene support, vital signs, and safe patient transfer, with a rotating day/evening schedule.

Qualified candidates must meet one of the listed education/experience options and maintain state nursing assistant registry. 0.6 FTE, M/F, with benefits and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Holds one of the listed nursing assistant qualifications and current registry status.
• Must meet the specified nursing assistant education/experience options.
• Able to work 24 hours per week with rotating 8-hour shifts.
• Facilities procedures aligned with Joint Commission and local regulations.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with personal hygiene and nutritional needs.
• Transfer patients safely and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Take vital signs and document accurately.
• Report changes in patient condition promptly to the RN.
• Support patient comfort and safety during care.
