Providence Little Company Of Mary Torrance Hospital seeks a Nurse Assistant (NA) to support RN-led care by performing delegated routine tasks such as vital signs, EKGs, basic patient care, and transportation. This role requires compassionate communication with patients and families, respecting age-specific needs within your unit.

The NA works under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, participates in a culture of patient-focused, whole-person care, and adheres to safety and documentation

Qualifications

• Required: Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program.
• Alternative: Equivalent demonstrated equivalency (such as corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN/MD, Medical Assistant, Caregiver).
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program

Equivalent experience (corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN/MD, Medical Assistant, Caregiver)

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

The Nurse Assistant (NA) role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include, but are not limited to EKGs, vital signs, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on scope of service of unit/department where assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of any accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program, or Nursing Assistant program or completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program., Or
• Coursework/Training: Graduate of any accredited Nursing Assistant program., Or Demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN or MD, Medical Assistant, Caregiver.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 yearprevious Nurse Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or post acute environment.
