Job summary

Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, CA seeks a Nursing Assistant for our Progressive Care / Stepdown Unit. This full-time role covers 12-hour day shifts under RN supervision, performing routine patient care tasks and transportation to support high-quality, patient-focused care.

Minimum qualifications include graduating from an accredited CNA or Nursing Assistant program or completing the 2nd semester of an accredited Nursing Program, plus BLS certification on hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited CNA or Nursing Assistant program, or completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program or equivalency.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under RN supervision, including routine tasks and safety.

Job description

Nursing Assistant in our Progressive Care / Stepdown Unit atProvidence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 12-hour Day shifts.

The Nurse Assistant (NA) role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include, but are not limited to EKGs, vital signs, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on scope of service of unit/department where assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training- Graduate of any accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program, or Nursing Assistant program or completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program or
• Coursework/Training- Graduate of any accredited Nursing Assistant program or demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN or MD, Medical Assistant, Caregiver.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 yearof Previous Nurse Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or post acute environment.
