Job summary

Essentia Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for direct patient care on the night shift. This 0.6 FTE position (24 hours/week) offers 11:00 pm–7:30 am shifts with every-other weekend and holiday rotations and a straight night premium.

You will assist with hygiene, nutrition support, vital signs, and safe transfers under supervision, while maintaining a safe, clean environment and reporting changes to the RN. Comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• CNA preferred; if no CNA, must be registered as Nurse Assistant within 3 months of hire date.
• BLS certification required within 3 months after hire.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and assist with personal hygiene and nutritional needs.
• Take vital signs and document in patient records.
• Safely transfer patients and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Recognize and report changes in patient condition to the RN.
