Works under the supervision of Registered Nurse/LPN and Nurse Manager/Director in the personal care of patients and their environment (including those needing special precautions) and performs specified treatments. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care for patients in the assigned unit. The individual should understand principles of growth and development over the lifespan and provide care according to departmental policies and procedures. Promotes and maintains a safe work environment for staff and patients, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.

What you will do

1. Demonstrate understanding of technology systems necessary for patient data collection.
2. Ensure the availability of resources (equipment, instruments, supplies) to promote positive patient outcomes. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work/patient environment by cleaning workstations/areas, equipment, stocking supplies, and proper storage.
3. Follow the plan of care to ensure patients receive consistent, competent, and ethical care within legal standards, maintaining privacy and respecting patient values. Provide care based on verbal and written instructions. Understand assigned plans of care within scope of practice and responsibilities, including accurate documentation.
4. Participate positively in training and support of team members, volunteers, and students as needed.
5. Perform treatments and procedures competently and independently under RN/LPN direction, following the plan of care.

Qualifications

Experience

For Nursing Assistant:

Transcripts or a letter stating that the candidate has completed 1 semester of an RN nursing program are required for the Nurse Aide position.

Licenses and Certifications

• CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) upon hire (Required)
