Job summary

Monroe Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Aide to join the MED/SURG/Telemetry team. This full-time, night-shift role provides essential support for activities of daily living and basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.

The ideal candidate will have a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate, be BLS certified, knowledge of medical terminology, and up to six months of acute-care hospital or physician’s office experience.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate on hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Aid assists with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Aid in the MED / SURG / Telemetry Department is an unlicensed assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
