Job summary

Monroe Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is actively seeking registered nurses to join a night shift team in Bloomington, Indiana. The RN will deliver safe, patient-centered care, coordinating with physicians and families, and ensuring privacy and confidentiality in a high-acuity unit.

You will need an active RN license, BLS, and preferably critical care training or CCRN, with 1+ year in acute care. ACLS is required, and CC RN certification is desirable for qualification.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and effectively to deteriorating conditions while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patients clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
