Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg/Telemetry Department. This full-time role supports daily living activities and basic patient care for non-critical patients under RN direction.

Qualifications include a CA certificate, BLS within 30 days, knowledge of medical terminology, and at least six months in an acute care setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department assists with activities of daily living.
• Provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and helps maintain a safe environment under RN supervision.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
