Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, high-quality patient care on the Day shift. You will perform nursing assessments, planning, and interventions in a hospital setting, coordinating with physicians and the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements include an active State RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 30 days of hire; BSN is preferred. Full-time position with opportunities for professional growth and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Current and valid State RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• BSN preferred.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct patient/family teaching and coordinate with nursing staff while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and respond to changes promptly.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the DOU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid State RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (as Applicable, Required)

• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
