Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center in Port Huron, MI, is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg/Telemetry unit to support daily living activities and basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

The role is Full Time with Day shifts. Candidates should have a CNA certificate (preferred), current BLS within 30 days, knowledge of medical terminology, and at least six months of experience in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department assists with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients.
• Maintains a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and unit.
