Job summary

Kindred Hospital Houston Northwest and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) seeks a compassionate Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff in a LTACH/ARU setting. You will assist with activities of daily living and basic patient care under RN supervision.

Must have a valid CNA certification and BLS, HS diploma, and at least six months of LTC experience. This on-site role offers exposure to a comprehensive LTACH/ARU environment in Houston.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum six months’ experience in acute or long-term care.
• Current Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in patient care and activities of daily living.
• Take vital signs and document measurements.
• Position, transfer, and assist with daily living activities.
• Answer call lights and respond to patient needs.
• Help with admission, transfers, and discharge procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment.
