Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of nursing assistant experience within the past five years may substitute for some trainings.
• Alabama CNA certification or LPN license or nursing school graduate accepted.
• EMT/Paramedic or Medical Corpsman licensure considered.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination, and nutrition.
• Provides routine treatments and maintains a safe, clean, organized patient environment.
• Maintains patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Follows standard precautions and hand hygiene between patients.
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Takes and records vital signs and basic patient data.
• Transports and delivers items and equipment throughout the facility.
