Job summary

UNC Health’s Rex 3 West unit in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Nursing Assistant I to deliver routine patient care under supervision. You will assist with examinations, monitor vital signs, and support patient mobility, discharge planning and family interactions.

Qualifications include NC Nursing Assistant I certification, BLS, and 6 months of nursing assistant experience preferred. Strong English skills and basic computer ability are required; on-site schedule is 36 hours per week with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Fluent in verbal and written English language.
• Able to develop basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures.
• Observe, collect, and document patient information and report changes to supervisor.
• Provide direct personal care for activities of daily living as outlined in care plans.
• Support admission, orientation, and discharge processes for patients.
• Reinforce routine teaching and distribute patient education materials.
