Job summary

Wayne UNC Health Care seeks a Nursing Assistant I to perform basic nursing skills under RN/LPN supervision in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include measuring vital signs, assisting with personal care, and ensuring patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Completion of Level I Nurse Aide training and competency evaluation program or its equivalent.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required, any higher education supersedes this requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality patient care per RN/LPN guidance.
• Documents patient care according to unit standards.
• Communicates patient information during handoff and to family when appropriate.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment and follows infection control.
• Responds to emergencies and assists with CPR within scope of practice.
