Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant I for St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. The role provides basic patient care, hygiene support, mobility assistance, and helps licensed staff with daily tasks. A sign-on bonus is offered for this position.

Qualifications include MA Nursing Assistant Certification, CPR, and a nursing assistant training program; a high school diploma is required, with prior acute care experience preferred. Work hours are 7:00am–3:30pm with weekend rotation.

We are searching for a talented Nursing Assistant I

*$900 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

Hours: 24hrs

Shift: Day shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under general supervision of individually assigned Manager, Patient Care Services or designee, perform a variety of duties including basic care, personal hygiene, mobility, nutritional support, maintain patient environment, and provide assistance to licensed staff in carrying out other related duties, etc.

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Training Program is preferred.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or the equivalent is required.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Three (3) months experience in an acute care or long term setting is preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
