Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Nurse Aide to support registered nurses in daily patient care within a hospital setting. You will assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, and vital sign collection while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

You will document care in the EMR, participate in admissions and transfers, and help maintain supply levels and equipment. BLS certification must be obtained within 45 days, and CNA/state registry in good standing is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Maintenance of annual hospital-based certifications (DNV, CARF or others).

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility).
• Measure and document vital signs and intake/output in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN promptly.
• Assist in admissions, transfers and discharges with room setup and orientation.
• Collect specimens and assist with point-of-care testing per approved processes.
• Handle errands and stock nursing area; clean equipment and work areas.
