Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time observer/nursing support on the Farmington Hills unit. You will assist with patient care under a Registered Nurse, help transport patients, and support documentation in the electronic medical record.

The role requires effective communication, basic medical knowledge, and the ability to move or lift patients. On-site duties include coordination with the Staffing Office Float Pool at Farmington Hills Hospital.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required.
• Current CNA certification preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and document services.
• Observe patients for constant observation as needed and document observations.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate unit functioning and record care in the EMR.
