Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and help with nutrition and safety in a fast-paced hospital or clinic setting.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic reading, writing and math skills. New hires must obtain BLS within 30 days. A strong team attitude and commitment to infection control are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic ability to read, write and perform basic four-function math.
• Ability to obtain knowledge of medical terminology and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Cares for patients as delegated by the RN and assists with activities of daily living.
• May take vitals, height/weight and record observations for the nurse.
• Assists with nutrition, safety, infection control, and orientation of new colleagues.
• Performs basic clinical procedures under supervision and supports patient care.
