Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide basic patient care under RN supervision. The CNA will perform procedures learned in training, maintain asepsis, respect patient dignity, and adhere to safety policies within their scope of training.

This is a 0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week, Day/PM shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotation. The compensation starts at $21.04 per hour, commensurate with experience, with benefits including PTO, parental leave,

• State of Wisconsin certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• CPR certification or eligibility.
• Availability for CNA orientation during first employment week (8:00–16:30).

• Performs basic nursing assistant procedures learned during training.
• Practices medical asepsis and maintains patient dignity and privacy.
• Works under the close supervision of the Registered Nurse and completes assigned tasks within the shift.

Job Description:

The Nursing Assistant (CNA) practices and performs the basic nursing assistant procedures which were taught during their outside training and certification program. The CNA is expected to practice medical asepsis, respect the dignity and privacy of every patient, maintain objectivity during patient care, adhere to basic hospital safety policies and procedures, and practice within their scope of training. The CNA works under the close supervision of the Registered Nurse. The CNA receives specific work assignments that are both written and oral with the expectation to complete the work assignment within their scheduled shift.
