Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a night shift role. This part-time position (0.6 FTE) requires Wisconsin CNA certification and CPR certification, with orientation in the first week 8:00–4:30.

Expect 24 hours per week, with some weekend coverage and holidays as part of rotations. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will perform basic nursing assistant procedures, maintain patient dignity and safety, and adhere to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• State of Wisconsin certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Currently CPR certified or eligible for certification.
• Must be available the first week of employment for CNA orientation (8:00 AM–4:30 PM).

Responsibilities

• Perform basic nursing assistant procedures as taught in training.
• Practice medical asepsis and patient dignity and privacy.
• Work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and complete assigned tasks within the shift.

Job Description:

The Nursing Assistant (CNA) practices and performs the basic nursing assistant procedures which were taught during their outside training and certification program. The CNA is expected to practice medical asepsis, respect the dignity and privacy of every patient, maintain objectivity during patient care, adhere to basic hospital safety policies and procedures, and practice within their scope of training. The CNA works under the close supervision of the Registered Nurse. The CNA receives specific work assignments that are both written and oral with the expectation to complete the work assignment within their scheduled shift.
