Job summary

Essentia Health Duluth, Minnesota, invites applications for a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join the Inpatient Rehab Unit at Miller Dwan Medical Center.

In this 0.7 FTE role, you will deliver direct patient care under RN supervision, assist with activities of daily living, take vital signs, document changes, and help ensure a safe, healing environment on rotating 8-hour night shifts (10pm–6:30am) with weekend and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• 6 months nursing assistant experience
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
• Enrollment into the Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire
• Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry

Responsibilities

• Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs
• Providing comfort care and other assistance
• Appropriately and safely transferring patients
• Taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping
• Recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN
• Maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process.
