The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the nursing care team. You will assist licensed staff in preventive to hospice care and perform basic patient care and documentation under supervision.

Formación

• Six months of general experience.
• One year of education above high school with courses related to Nursing Assistant.
• Completion of an intensive occupation-related training course of study of less than one year as Nursing Assistant may meet requirements.
• Grandfathering provisions apply for current VA employees in this occupation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct care for patients under close supervision by a preceptor.
• Obtains vital signs and documents findings in the patient record.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing tasks as assigned.
• Support the Provider or Nurse in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Educación

One year of education above high school with courses related to Nursing Assistant

Completion of intensive training course for Nursing Assistant (<1 year)
